TBF
Designed and built by the Grumman Aircraft Company, the TBF Avenger proved to be an outstanding workhorse. The Avenger was used in many scenarios, and both land and sea operations proved the design without doubt. This illustration shows a TBF acting as a FAC (forward air controller) for a pair of Mosquitos striking a Japanese target.
