Monocoupe
In its day, few aircraft measured up in performance to the Monocoupes. In either configuration - round engine or flat opposed - it was beautiful, well built, and very fast. The aircraft did have one drawback that was easily recognized - poor visibility. In today's crowded sky looking for aircraft in a landing pattern is difficult at best, but in a Monocoupe, well you get the idea. This illustration brings attention to the annual Monocoupe gathering held at Creve Coeur air port in Missouri .
