P-47
The P-47 had a reputation as a tough airplane, well capable of bringing their pilots home from a mission. This print serves as a great example. After this P-47 had flown it's mission, it attempted to land with one bomb still hanging from it's bomb rack. The bomb dislodged on touch down, exploding and taking the Thunderbolt's tail with it. This print illustrates the result of that mishap.
