When fighter pilots of the era first viewed the P-47 "Thunderbolt" most believed it was too large to be effective as a fighter aircraft.  However, they soon realized it was not only an exceptional fighter but an outstanding and powerful ground attack aircraft. Shown is "Gabby" Gabreski's P-47.  The original painting has been signed by Gabby Gabreski. The signature appears on the 11x17 and 20x30 prints.
