Large Triplane
Lost in the fog of historical facts is the reality Manfred von Richthofen was not the only pilot in his unit who sported the famous red paint scheme. Many followed his example and also had their aircraft painted in that color. Shown is a triplane illustrating one of the six color schemes he was known to have used.
