2 Spitfires
R. J. Mitchell, the designer of the Spitfire, truly designed the Spitfire out of passion. Few other aircraft of that era exhibited the graceful contours and sweeping performance in one deadly fighting machine. Illustrated are a pair of Spits, one saluting the other in a low pass after completing the last of several missions for that day.
